On March 19, 2022 (6 pm), a panel discussion on urban forestry and the sensibility of citizens to the issue of pruning and treatment of urban trees in Croatia will be held, organized by the first and leading Association for organizing tree planting campaigns in the Republic of Croatia – Plant a tree, don’t be a stump!

You can find the panel application here: https://forms.gle/iUB7BfnxSA3A1NvW8

The experts for urban forestry discuss the problems encountered when planting trees in cities and why the public is increasingly sensitive to the issue of pruning and treatment of urban trees.

Representatives of many European and worldwide cities are encouraging the planting of trees and the landscaping of new and expansion of existing parks and green spaces because they have recognized the importance of urban nature for the well-being of people. Planting trees on city streets can reduce the risk of depression, mitigate climate change and prevent biodiversity loss. The objective is that this kind of information is more represented by urban planners, health workers and conservators.
